Longlisted for the 2015 Epigram Books Fiction Prize, the book follows the adventures of its titular character, Annabelle Thong, a Catholic schoolteacher who, after enrolling herself at the Sorbonne in Paris, finds her world views and beliefs upended by the people she meets. The book was well received, and has been reviewed and featured by local news outlets such as The Straits Times and The Business Times.
